Welcome to Decades for 2008!
We place this prayer campaign under the patronage of Our Lady of Victory and St. Pio in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus asking for His mercy on our country and their intercession on behalf of the United States of America in these upcoming elelctions!
Many are concerned about the upcoming 2008 elections and the impact they will have on the future of our country. This site is designed to inform others of a prayer campaign that was started for the sole purpose of praying for God's Holy will for the elections. We want to seek through prayer to unite ourselves first in the prayers and most importantly with the will of God for the outcome of the elections. Seeking His will for the choice of candidates for all elected offices that will be decided in the 2008 elections, to pray also for the needs of candidates that God is calling to the election process to be given what they need for their campaigns and for the eventual election of the candidates that God is calling to these government offices from President on down.
We the people of the United States of America are not satisfied with candidates who support legalized abortion, euthanasia, same sex marriages, and other issues that destroy the morality of our nation. We must and should campaign peacefully against those candidates that support and practice immorality both in their public and private lives.
Our method of peacefully campaigning against those candidates is prayer. Each person who chooses to join us can email the organizer and be given one decade of the Rosary to pray everday. This will unite you with others in your Rosary and with all who are praying for the intentions listed above.
You also may simply choose if you do not pray the Rosary, to email the organizer and let her know that you are joining in this campaign of prayer for the intentions of this prayer campaign. Feel free to use the following prayer written by one of the members of Decades for 2008:
Uniting ourselves in a mighty army of prayer has in history been a driving force of swaying the heart of God to MIGHTILY aid us in our desperate needs. America needs to be on her knees. Please join us now and continue until after the elections in November 2008 are decided. Please share this website with others to increase the prayers that are crying to Heaven for the USA. May God have mercy on the United States of America!
To join our campaign of prayer please send an email to decadesfor2008@yahoo.com Please submit the name of each person requesting a decade of the rosary and your email address. The organizer will send you an email with your assigned decade. Begin to pray your decade the day you receive the email. You will then be united with everyone in our campaign of prayer. If you do not know how to pray the Rosary and would like to learn, please let the organizer know this and instructions will be sent to you along with your decade. If you choose not to pray a decade but want to join us please also email the organizer to say you will be joining us with your own prayers.
